Things are coming together for the Clark County Council Candidates Forum next week and I'm not sure if you read it but I had another article published yesterday regarding the Forum and why I think it's so important for candidates, from all political stances, come together so voters can hear their ideas on the future.

"We need to sit at the same table, like adults, and talk about the topics and lay out our ideas. The voters need to know what these candidates think and what actions they will take on our behalf. Where you fall on the spectrum of politics isn’t as important as your ideas and real-time actions you plan to take for our communities." As you know, Ken Vance from ClarkCountyToday.com will moderate the discussion and we'll video record and make it all available for voters and campaigns.

The only thing I've asked Ken is that we have a civil and respectful discussion on the issues and he has full discretion on questions and topics. I'm looking forward to how he leads.

ENCOURAGE SUPPORTERS AND THOSE WATCHING YOUR CAMPAIGN TO JOIN YOU AT THE CANDIDATES FORUM WEDNESDAY NIGHT.

Each district, D1, D2 & D5, will be spotlighted and voters will hear from you about why you're running and hear you discuss important topics with Ken Vance and other candidates.

Where: The Black Pearl on the Columbia - 56 S Street, Washougal, WA

When: July 20th, 6pm-8:00pm

Tickets: $10 tickets are available & a VIP upgrade

All ticket sales proceeds are for event expenses - All participants will receive two free tickets

FORMAT: Each candidate will be given a two minute opening statement & 1 minute closing statement

The moderator, Ken Vance, will ask each candidate in alternating fashion (numbers will be randomly drawn before event) candidates will have 2 minutes to answer & 1 minute rebuttal opportunity after all candidates have answered the initial question.

The moderator will keep asking rounds of questions for 30 or 40 minutes with the ability to modify or shorten answer times from candidates based on time constraints.
