2 DAYS: You Can't Make This Stuff Up - Keep Fighting!

BUREAUCRACY IS TRYING TO BURY THE PETITION - YOUR VOICE
The administrative state, with the blessing of the majority of the Council (3-1 vote), is using bureaucracy to shove the Petition to the back of the bus and prioritize all the other more important business in front of the Mini-Initiative hearing. This is our tax-payer dollars at work!
Let's review, shall we...
- They changed the access codes last week which gives hundreds of people the wrong code to call and listen in (they made the same "mistake" right before the Firework Ordinance mtg too, see the agenda above).
- They limited the public call comments down from 3 to 2 mins, cutting the microphone off.
- They'll only take 2 hrs of public comments (about 60 calls)
- They limited the presentation of the Petition to ONLY 5 MINUTES, which it would take about 3 mins just to read it
- Last, but probably not least to come, they set one of the longest agendas of any meeting and put the Mini-Initiative and public comment at the end of the meeting (because the staff that are calling in from home shouldn't have to wait all night but it's okay to make the public wait all night).
DON'T LET THIS DISCOURAGE YOU! THEY ARE DOING THIS HOPING WE ALL WILL CRAWL BACK TO OUR CAVES AND LEAVE THEM ALONE AND LET THEM RULE AND RUIN OUR LIVES WHILE WE PAY FOR IT ALL WITH TAXES. STAY ENGAGED... EMAIL, CALL & SHOW UP TUESDAY TO THE PETITION HEARING.
Critical PETITION HEARING info coming on Monday!
ACTION YOU CAN TAKE NOW!
Be in prayer - this is as much spiritual fight as much as a political struggle.
Be focused - The Mandate & discrimination issues are paramount and has to be at the forefront of all our efforts. First, anyone going forth needs to embrace that the Petition effort isn’t about vaccines or masks and has little language about these topics. Vaccines and masks have an important place for public discourse but the Petition effort is specifically focused on how mandates violate basic Constitutional Republic rights and discriminate, giving special rights to one group over another or denying equal access based on contrived policies or rules. The Petition is about stopping mandates that discrimination based on one’s medical health status or violates important health privacy, plain and simple.
Engage politically – To petition is a sacred right and a vital political act and we must support it to get it passed. CC Republicans have already passed resolutions calling on all elected & candidate Republicans to support the petition, but few have done so. You must contact all of your representatives and ask them to support publicly and encourage others to do so as well.
Be respectful & not unkind in all our interactions and refrain from name calling or attacks on character. Stick to the topics of focus and all it takes is one really harsh or attacking email or interaction and they'll highlight it and use that to label us all.

Suggested themes:
- Stop all DISCRIMINATORY mandates, the ordinance doesn't call to end all mandates, only those that discriminate based on someones medical health status, violates private medical health info or does not honor health, religious or moral objector in an equitable manner.
- Councilors took an oath to uphold the State & US Constitutions. They did NOT take an oath to defend mandates that discriminate.
- Please defend Constitutional freedoms and the citizens of Clark County from vaccine mandates that force people out of their jobs because of something that is or is not in their bloodstream.
- Children have been forced to mask, with masks that now the CDC say are not effective, yet their rights are violated and there hasn't been due process. To force someone to wear a mask is treating them as infected, by doing this they are being denied due process privileges.
- There are NO Covid laws on the books, therefore, this ordinance does not violate ANY existing Covid laws.
- READ THE ORDINANCE HERE for more arguments.
OR EMAIL the three we need individually:

(Eileen has given public support for the petition)
PREPARE A 2 MINUTE PUBLIC COMMENT:
- Be focused on your own experience with the discriminating mandates. Please don't talk about if vaccines or masks don't work, but please stay focused on the discrimination and mandates being harmful to our communities and families.
- Refrain from topics of effectiveness of vaccines or masks... these are important topics but that's not the focus of the ordinance.
- Write out your comments, time yourself and prepare. 2 minutes is a short amount of time and you'll only be able to put forth one thought or topic in your comment time allotment.
- NO PROFANITY, NO LET'S GO BRANDON PLEASE
- Don't address the Councilor's individually and always be respectful and give the Councilor's room to succeed. Don't prejudge them or name call.
- You can call in from the meeting or I'm going to try to use my laptop as a podium and you can come up and give your two minutes.
