PRELIMINARY INJUNCTION HEARING July 9, 2025 at 1:30 PM

Clark County Superior Court

This will be a Preliminary Injunction Hearing, where the judge will evaluate whether the County’s actions were likely unlawful. If so, the Court could nullify the February 26 vote and the two March 12 votes—restoring Councilor Belkot to her rightful seat on the C-TRAN Board.

This case is not just about one Councilor or one issue—it’s about transparency, public trust, and protecting your right to be informed and involved in decisions that shape the future of Clark County. I’ll keep you updated as the case progresses, and I hope to see many of you there in support of open and accountable government.

RIDGEFIELD SPLASH CASH PAD WOES CONTINUE

image

Ridgefield's Splash Pad, which started out as a $375k proposed construction project, ran off the rails by almost a million dollars. Even though the project was promised for the Summer of 2023, potentially costing taxpayers an extra $110k to expedite, it still didn't get done on time.

It's Summer of 2025 now, and still no Splash Pad... just three concrete circles that get used at Christmas time for tree displays (I first broke this story in December 2023).

The City updated the public saying that the contractor was going to get one more attempt to correct the problems, and if it doesn't resolve the issues and get the Splash Pad working, they'll have to start all over with a new build (contractor's insurance supposedly paying for the rebuild) which would most likely result in no Splash Pad in 2025.

To date, as far as I know, the City of Ridgefield has not taken ownership of the mismanagement or the execution of the Splash Pad build.

  • 2022 - $822,102 - Approved contract for Splash Pad (Sept. '22)

ICYMI -

imageDAY 236: UNSOLVED BALLOT BOX ATTACKS

Consider this as they heap awards on themselves… Earlier that year, Kimsey explicitly argued against ballot box cameras, claiming they were unnecessary. Yet experts agree that if a camera had been installed on the first ballot box attacked (Oct 8th), the subsequent attacks on two others weeks later could've been prevented because of the widespread distribution of video images of the attacker's car and possibly of the person responsible (case in point, no attacks followed the second attack that did have images thanks to Multnomah County having a camera on their ballot box).

Know why the ballots burned for hours, causing the destruction of hundreds of ballots instead of just a few? Kimsey delayed first responders' access to the ballot box key and they were forced to wait for Kimsey himself to arrive on the scene.

Or how about that Kimsey deployed untested over-the-counter fire suppression products that weren't designed for ballot boxes but instead were made for small kitchens?

This is classic coverup behavior and a misdirection effort by government officials hoping the public will accept the narrative that Kimsey ought to be praised for his efforts rather than be held responsible for his failures to judiciously protect our election processes.
