Ethics Committee Meltdown -Now Almost 40 Petition Signing Locations - Clark County Republican Convention Coming Up

SHOCKING: Debacle With Clark County Ethics Commissionimage

Since I submitted two ethics complaints dating back to September of last year, one against Greg Kimsey for misleading the Council and the public about ballot errors found in the 2022 election recounts and recently another against Tony Golik for failing to follow the Home Rule Charter regarding the Restore Election Confidence Initiative, I've been watching and hoping for progress and for the County to finally take ethics seriously. However, I was shocked to watch the last meeting from this week and hear that the County Manager allowed several meetings to go by with an improperly seated commissioner and was completely caught unaware as the Commissioner announced that her term had expired... five months ago.

Not only have they had six meetings with an improperly seated Commissioner, but the county attorney (Christine Cook) and County Manager (Kathleen Otto) let the Commissioner's term expire without beginning the search to replace her. The Commissioner in question made motions including a motion to accept administrative procedures which were all improper considering her status.

Voters passed the Ethics Commission amendment in 2021, yet the County Manager failed to prioritize getting members appointed and has slow-walked the process, lacking seriousness. As a result, here we are in 2024 still without an approved business/administrative process in place and a logjam of complaints that haven’t even been processed, investigated, or sent to the Commission.

This is a failure of monumental proportions.

It’s outrageous!

This Wed (2/28) Board of Health Meeting Will Be A Doozy, Response After Action Report Is PURE Propaganda

Thanks to Melissa Leady for alerting me to this, but Last year, the County chair promised that CCHP would do the pandemic response review as part of their 5-year strategic plan (CHA/CHIP) but failed to do so. Melissa pushed back and now, this Wed at 8:30AM, the Clark County Public Health is presenting their review... it's a joke.

Of course, in good government fashion, they play fast and loose over what happened and gloss over their failures.

SEE their presentations here:

  COVID-19 Response After Action Report

If you have opinions on how the CCPH hid data, contributed to locking down schools, masked kids with no real tangible threat or data that supported doing so, improperly distributed vax's to children without parental consent, manipulated data to inflate Covid deaths, hid reports of outbreaks of vaccinated nursing homes and aided the State in pushing elderly out of hospitals into ill-prepared nursing homes, etc, etc, etc
