Years ago I heard Chuck Swindoll say, “Education is going from an unconscious state to a conscious state of how little a person knows.” These last chapters of Job take that statement and put it on steroids. Job was questioned by God, and God’s questioning was relentless. Like Job, we are put in out place by the questions that God asked Job. Wrestling with the questions God posed to Job produces humility. Humility is born out of a right perspective of who God is, and who we are. Rest today in the assurance that the almighty God of heaven is so much greater than who you are. That is a comfort for all of creation.
