Hola
At the time of sending this email, it is 1st May, a bank holiday in some countries. It's a celebration about work day, beginning of summer, month of love...it varies. However the mayday that I am talking about is in relation to your body sending you stress signals that you might not be hearing or just ignoring.
Feeling tired? That is a signal that you need rest, might be overstressed, undereating (yes those damn quick fix programmes skin yuh up) or you might be lacking water. I will tell you for sure that I notice the difference when I don't drink enough water.
Period from hell? It is your body's monthly report card and if your period is still cutting yuh tail, there could be a number of things and remember it is not normal to be in pain. Last month I scored F on my report card and I think I know why. My eating hasn't been that great and I wasn't drinking enough water.
Moody? Again this can be related to not eating enough or not eating the correct foods and not resting.
Constipated? Not enough water in your diet and not eating the correct foods like fruits and vegetables aka fibre.
Aches and Pains? Eating foods that are inflammatory like fried foods and processed foods. Also you possibly aren't eating enough good fats.
So how do you start to reduce the mayday distress call?
- Eat real food: Protein, good fats and good carbohydrates, vegetables. Eliminate inflammatory foods such as cakes, biscuits, white pasta, bread, sugary drinks, processed food, fried foods, fast foods.
- Rest : Enough said! Get some sleep and do other relaxing things like a sea dip.
- Drink yuh water and mind yuh business!
- Move your body but don't kill it. Walking works wonders, wukking up also strength training.
If would like advice on how to improve the above deficiencies -- shoot me a reply. I’d love to help!
Freedom, Happiness, Balance
Renee
