Today is the 2 year anniversary of the Own Your Voice Show.

Yes, 2 years ago, on 26 March 2023 (Sunday) my biggest dream of becoming Asian Oprah came true👇🏻

It felt absolutely surreal. After a moment or two of being starstruck (by this opportunity coming to live), I reflected and realised that the most fulfilling thing about this experience was bringing like-minded people together, to talk about difficult topics in a safe space.

There's an unexplainable healing power of being witnessed— that is, to feel seen and acknowledged for your experiences and emotions, especially if it's a painful one.

What's amazing is this— you don't even have to share your story to experience this. Very often you can feel this simply by being around people who just "get" you. And especially when you hear others share their story.

That is why on 7th April, I'm creating such a space again, and you're invited 💌

At my upcoming "Celebrating Milestones: The Party", you're gonna be surrounded by people who are open, curious and passionate about life.

Apart from free and easy chats, we have 2 interactive discussions where you can choose to share your story, and/or listen to others share theirs (this is completely optional btw! I actually planned these discussions with introverts in mind, so when you enter the space and feel like sitting + listening before engaging in conversations, you can!)

This party will be a gathering of original thinkers, rising leaders, entrepreneurs, creatives, community builders— anyone who has a passion for life and a desire to spread good vibes in their community.

I absolutely love hearing stories from people who have been for an event I organised, telling me that they met that ONE person that changed their life, or had that ONE conversation that gave them the powerful shift in perspective, and they can never be the same again.

By the way, I created the opportunity of having my own talk show because of that ONE event I was at, and I took that leap of faith to approach that ONE person who made it all happen for me.

In November 2022, I attended an event at Scape* and saw the Director of Scape* speaking on a panel. I approached her after to compliment her on the beautiful theatre space, and told her it'll be perfect for a live talkshow. I never intended to pitch her my idea, I was simply sharing about my vision of the Own Your Voice Show with excitement.

Lo and behold... she said "Oh! Great idea! Let me introduce you to my Creative Director, and she'll link up with you on this idea."

I sent a proposal, it was a whole process... but, IT HAPPENED. And hell yes, did we do an AMAZING SHOW for a year.

Magic happens when you put yourself in spaces you don't usually enter. Especially if it calls out to you :)

I can't wait for you to experience the magic. ✨✨✨
