What is the greatest form of wealth?

Is it— Relationships? Time? Health?

While all of these are important and of infinite value… there’s something much greater— which I’ll share with you today.

But before that, a story.

The most common comment I receive is this— “Rae you’re so young yet so wise…”

Here’s why:

When I was 21, I got exposed to the world of personal development and entrepreneurship.

Before that, I was doing what most 21 year olds would do— living life “fully” in the clubs. I was a club promoter at one point (yes, I bring people in and give them free drinks)

Deep down, I wanted more. I wanted, so badly, to believe there was more to life. But everything around me showed me otherwise— it showed me that life is about doing well, earning money, and staying afloat.

And then one day, a single phone call changed my life.

In my second year of university, I got introduced to my first mentor and a community of ambitious dreamers.

3-4 times a week, for a few hours at each time, I’ll be hanging out with both entrepreneurs in their 50s, and young driven peers who are side-hustling while studying. Their thought process seeped into me…

At that point in time I was too young to know how to think for myself. So there WERE times I took good advice that wasn’t good for me, and left me in shambles.

What I’ve learnt is this: Being in good company is not enough. You gotta learn how to think for yourself, aka grow your self-awareness and trust in your voice.

This brings me to the greatest form of wealth: sovereignty—the ability to own your time, your mind, and your choices without being controlled by external forces.

With sovereignty, everything else falls in place.

• Time Freedom → The wealth to do what you want, when you want, without being trapped in a cycle of obligations.
• Emotional & Mental Freedom → The wealth of inner peace, confidence, and the ability to move through life without fear dictating your decisions.
• Relationship Wealth → Being surrounded by people who challenge, support, and elevate you.
• Impact & Legacy → The wealth of knowing your voice, ideas, and work will outlive you, creating ripples beyond your lifetime.

Real wealth isn’t just about how much you have, but how much you control your own life.

To ensure you have sovereignty, you want to ensure mastery over 3 areas:

1️⃣ Mental & Emotional Sovereignty (Master Your Mind)

• The ability to think independently and not be swayed by external opinions or societal conditioning.
• Emotional regulation: You don’t react impulsively; you respond with clarity and intention.
• A strong inner voice that drowns out the noise of self-doubt or external validation-seeking. You’re not running to anyone (not even your partner or your coach) to validate your choices or help you make decisions.

2️⃣ Relationship Sovereignty (Choose Your Circle)

• The people around you either empower you or own you.
• True sovereignty means surrounding yourself with aligned individuals who challenge you, elevate your thinking, and don’t demand your compliance (which btw, is often subtle and subconscious.
• Saying “no” to draining relationships is as powerful as saying “yes” to the right ones.

3️⃣ Identity Sovereignty (Be Unapologetically You)

• If the world can’t define you, it can’t control you.
• Many people live by default—following paths dictated by culture, family, or fear.
• Sovereignty means knowing who you are, what you stand for, and living by your own design.
• Define your values, own your narrative, and don’t seek permission to be yourself.

Sovereignty is the ultimate wealth. It requires clarity, discipline, and courage to own your mind, relationships, and identity. Once you master these, no one owns you—and that’s true power.

This is why in the community I build, and those I join and interact with… I ensure:

✅ I vibe with the initiator/ community leader. As much as possible I connect with them first and know what their true intentions are.

✅ The initiator/ leader is someone who has self-awareness and clear intentions. There’s a clear purpose for the group (even if it’s simply to have fun and connect, there’s a clear quality of people invited in)

✅ It’s a community where everyone is encouraged to grow and use their voice, not just listen to someone teaching

✅ It’s funnn!

Research shows: Simply being exposed to high-performers can improve your own performance. It’s the same with self-awareness, self-connection, confidence and wisdom.
