Wholesome vibe check β it was incredibly cool to pair up with Interfaith Online for the #CookingTogether celebration. Seeing all the traditions behind the meals is what Provecho is all about, so thank you to everyone for sharing. Here are 3 tasty standouts (click the images for recipe.)
Rugelach is a traditional pastry from the Polish Jewish community. It can now be found in the markets of Jerusalem sold in little street bakeries and they are SO GOOD (these are chocolate cinnamon.) This is my first attempt at making them myself - Amy Regenbaum.
PS, Congratulations Amy, you won the #CookingTogether Raffle! Sending a Sexy 15" cast iron pan your way:)
My roommates and I love Thai food so we made this spicy, tangy, comforting chicken Pad Thai together before leaving school for the holiday break. I love cooking with them because itβs such a fun experience chatting while cooking and then eating a delicious meal! - Sarah Ampaloor
In Poland, Christmas is celebrated on Christmas Eve with a dinner called Wigilia. **Fun Fact: In Poland, Santa does not bring the presents...supposedly baby Jesus crawls through a window during Wigilia, and then the kids open presents after dinner!** One of the main traditions during Wigilia is that the dinner is meatless, so Pierogi are very common on this night since most pierogi variations are vegetarian! - Karolina Skupien
Your Supreme Chef of the Year is a food architect and flavor pioneer. Over the year, she has mastered the four elements of cooking Breakfast, Lunch, Dinner and Dessert (Click hyperlinks for recipe!)
We believe that Chiara Zangari (aka @dinnerdubs) can save 2021! Congratulations to our first ever Supreme Chef of the Year!!!
Stay hungry this year folks, but only metaphorically.
