This year is special as this October is the 20th anniversary of my favorite video game of all time, which just so happens to be a psychological horror (the BEST kind of horror!). I like to make a tradition of playing this game every Halloween because it is just simply THAT good. Which game is it?

"F.E.A.R." or "First Encounter Assault Recon"

If you're as big a fan of shooters as I am and you've never picked F.E.A.R. up, I MUST recommend it. In fact, close out of here and go play it right now. It's $10 on Steam (on sale for $2 as I'm writing this e-mail), so you have no excuse!

Some of the best-feeling combat in a shooter. THE most frighteningly intelligent AI in any video game ever made. A gripping story of truly awesome horror. This game is from 2005, yet it still manages to out-class most modern shooters today.

Just don't play any of the sequels. Get the original and the DLC campaign missions and you're set.

In my last newsletter I announced future table dates where I will be in attendance, however I will not be at "The Craft Fair Before X-Mas" on Dec. 6th. I'd forgotten I bought tickets for Galaxycon Columbus this year and it's the same weekend, so rather, if you're going to Galaxycon in Columbus, I'll be there (with my wife and pup) on Saturday, Dec 6, just for fun!

My 10th anniversary art for Blazblue Central Fiction is complete! Easily the BIGGEST illustration I've ever done! There are 13 total characters for this beast...

Come November I'll be hosting a special sale at my store for all Blazblue merch, and this piece will make its debut!

My "unofficial" Halloween art for the year. I want to watch Puss in Boots: The Last Wish so bad! I hear tons of good things about the villain, and I'm an absolute sucker for a good villain. Hope I did Death justice here.

I finally get to start sharing this; I've had the distinct honor of being able to work with the experienced voice actor Patrick Seitz who voices Blazblue's protagonist, Ragna the Bloodedge.

Masque of the Red Death

My "official" Halloween art for the year, that sadly won't be colored in time. This also happens to be a redraw of a very old work I'd done, inspired by the Edgar Allen Poe short story of the same name. This may also just be the greatest ink art I've ever done...
