Hello again. How are you doing?

I hope you had a lovely Easter. We had a slight ease of lockdown restrictions here in Wales, so I was able to have a couple of my kids over for dinner in the garden. Thankfully, the weather was warm on Sunday!

I got my Covid shot, as planned, last month, and I promised to tell you how it went, didn’t I. You know, I went into that vaccination centre thinking, no way I’m going to be ill with any side effects, ‘cos I’m a tough one. And those were famous last words – or thoughts – because that thing put me on my ass. Twenty-four hours of chills and a temperature, followed by two days of exhaustion and a week with a very sore arm. They do say pride comes before a fall, don’t they lol. But I’d do it again because it’s worth the peace of mind. Just as well really, since I still have the second jab to come!

And you know, my husband had the exact same vaccine two weeks later and suffered with nothing more than a slight headache. Go figure!

Anyway, enough about my weaknesses and on to something far more interesting.
