Hey there. How are you doing in your little corner of the world?
We’re approaching almost a year since the first UK lockdown and, twelve months later, we are still locked down although there are spots of hope on the horizon.
Yesterday was Mother’s Day here in Britain. Last year it passed almost unnoticed, but I have to admit I was thoroughly spoiled this year. The rules were eased enough for two people to visit in our gardens, so I was able to see five of my six children. (Three of them still live at home.)
Amongst other things I got this beautiful cover for my kindle and this lovely matching poppy case and notebook, which were actually last year's gifts that my daughter wanted to wait to give me until she could see me lol.
Plus, my daughter made the most decadent cheesecake. Doesn’t that look amazing? I can confirm that it tasted just as good as it looks!
On the 18th I have an appointment for my Covid vaccination, I’ll let you know how it goes and whether I get any side effects. As someone who has already suffered with Covid (exactly a year ago, now) I can tell you, I don’t want it again!
