You know, despite sending out two newsletters last month, it seems like ages since I spoke to you. I guess I’ve been busy!

I’ve had a stressful couple of weeks. My thirteen-year-old son, who is registered disabled because his digestive system doesn’t work, has been medically unfit to attend school for over two years. Late in 2019, he had an Ileostomy procedure to form a stoma, which has improved things considerably. Unfortunately, the process of reintegrating him back into mainstream school has not been a smooth one for a child who, even before being declared medically unfit, has only attended school part-time from the age of seven.

Add to that one of my cats – Alicia – was attacked by a dog, a whippet, which picked her up and shook her like a rag doll in a confined space, so she also got battered against a wall. She had to spend 3 days at a vet hospital because the skin on her back was ripped from the inner muscle and she also has a broken rib. Despite everything, she actually came off relatively lightly and is now making a full recovery. But really, I feel like I need an end to all the drama now. I’d rather keep that for my books!

In other happy news, I am also well ahead of my rather hectic schedule for 2021. I actually just finished Lithia – Book 6 in the Serendipity series, which I have decided to rename Litha as that is the more recognised name for the midsummer sabbat. And I’ve started on the next book, Lammas. Plus, this morning I had inspiration on my way home from the school run and knocked out 1500 words on Mabon, the final book in the series, which I haven’t officially started yet. Let me tell you, that chapter had me bawling and sniffling like a baby!

I have so many other things I want to tell you, but I guess I need to keep some things for next month or June will be a very boring newsletter. Until then, here are some other book recommendations and freebies to keep you going.
