Happy Lunar New Year!

The Dragon is the number 1 auspicious animal sign in Chinese culture. Many people want to have a dragon baby. The Dragon Year's population growth increases competition for college admissions and jobs. I wonder if this will happen again since birth rates are getting lower and lower in many countries.

Of the 12 zodiac signs, the dragon is the only animal sign that does not exist on Earth. The image is a combination of different animals. The dragon is believed to have the antlers of a deer, the head of a camel, the neck of a serpent, the belly of a crocodile, the claws of an eagle, the paws of a tiger, and the ears of a buffalo. The dragon can fly to heaven and dive into the ocean. It is a symbol of power and strong Yang energy.

2024 is a Wood Dragon year; the wood element brings growth, renewal, and creative energy. The stability of the Wood also balances the impulsive energy of the dragon. In Period 9, the Fire energy brings innovation, drama, intelligence, freedom, and a visionary spirit. We can apply these trends to our work and lives in the coming years.

Some people wonder about the difference between monthly and yearly Flying Star charts in Feng Shui. The monthly chart includes the monthly, yearly, and period 9 Feng Shui, and the yearly chart does not include the monthly Feng Shui. So, if you follow the monthly chart, it overrides the yearly chart. But if you want to keep it simple and just set it up once per year, use the yearly chart. You can still refer to the monthly chart and adjust when needed.

Here are some of my basic rules for Feng Shui setup. If there is a negative star or combination, reduce the issue first with 5-element or Feng Shui cures. Then, we can add enhancers as needed. If the direction is auspicious, you can add different 5-element enhancers or Feng Shui cures without problems.

For example, Southwest is lucky this year. We can set up a fish tank to attract money luck and use candles or red pillows to enhance Star 9 at the same time. You can pick and choose based on your intention and purpose. There is some flexibility, and modifying to fit your situation is OK.
