no wonder my to-do list felt never-ending...

Well, the winter solstice is over, we’ve made it through the longest night (or the shortest my southern hemisphere lovelies!) and Christmas is almost here. It’s that time of year we look back on what we’ve accomplished, or didn’t, and how our lives have changed over the course of 12 months.

If I’d known how different my life would be a year ago I wouldn’t have believed you. Fair warning, this is about to get sappy.

I was challenged by my dear friend Lasairiona to write out all the things I’ve accomplished as an author this year and it kind of blew me away, so I'm sharing it with you.

In 2021:

—Wrote and published the complete On Pointe series: Toe to Toe, Head to Head, Face to Face and Heart to Heart.

—Helped curate and beta read 2 anthologies.

—Wrote and published Crossed Stars, Oak Hills book 1.

—Beta read and did basic developmental edits on at least 5 manuscripts.

—Wrote 2 short stories (not yet published).

Goals for 2022:

—Write and publish Oak Hills books 2 & 3, maybe more…

—Release the On Pointe box set (more news next time, you’re not going to want to miss this!).

—1 shared world anthology in the works with some friends that you guys are going to die for.

I’m sure you’ve noticed my goals for 2022 are a little smaller than what I accomplished in 2021. That’s on purpose. With so many changes going on in my personal life last year and next year, I don’t want to over-commit myself and end up disappointing you, my dear readers (hello Crossed Stars that was supposed to release in September, I’m looking at you).

I’m still planning to take the rest of the year off to rest and refill my creative well with family, fun and good food. I’ll be spending lots of time with my kiddo before she graduates, fitting all those lasts and firsts and everything that goes along with being 17, going on 18, and getting ready to leave the nest. But I have so many more stories to tell and I can’t wait to share them with you.

I’m so thankful for you and your support this year and I can’t wait for what’s to come! Wishing you and your loved ones all an amazing end of the year filled with all the warmth and love you desire. I'll be back in the new year with updates!

Stay amazing,

Penelope
