just going to sneak this in your inbox...

Hello lovelies,
Is it after 10:30pm on Thanksgiving Eve as I sit down to write this newsletter? You bet! Who else stayed up way too late prepping for turkey day? Just me? That’s cool.
In case anyone was paying attention, why yes, I did forget to send out the last newsletter. Why, you ask? Because I was in Vegas and my brain was doing ten-thousand-million-billion things. But really my excuse is that I ended up going to see the Magic Mike Live show with a bunch of steamy romance authors that night and it was waaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaay too much fun!
If there was ever a group of ladies to see that show with, it’s definitely a bunch of romance writers.
What’s New?
Crossed Stars is nearly ready for you.
I swear.
I really mean it this time.
It’s with the formatter as we speak, getting all gussied up and presentable for you. It will be in your hands Dec 5, or sooner if I can swing it...
Curious what some readers who got a sneak peek had to say about it?
“[Freed] knows exactly how to knock a person right into their feels and expertly maneuvers the story to make you grateful that she's got you all weepy and misty eyed, but I adore her writing for exactly that.❤” — Alicia on Goodreads
“This is a wonderful, modern retelling of Romeo and Juliet that I just couldn’t get enough of. The rollercoaster of emotions that the source material takes you on is there, but woven into something fresh and new with the characters that you truly come to know and root for and Penelope’s beautiful writing.”- Dana on Goodreads
Don’t forget—if you preorder the ebook it will arrive on your kindle the day it goes live. You won’t even have to wait for me to send out a newsletter telling you. Be one of the first to get your hands on it!
What’s Next?
Once Crossed Stars is finally out, I’ll be taking a break for the month of December and into January. I’ve been pushing myself to the limit to get it to you, and my creative well needs a chance to refill. But don’t worry, I have big plans for you in 2022. In the meantime, you’ll still get my newsletters to tell you all the ridiculous things I’m getting up to.
February is going to bring the return of some familiar faces before I dive into writing Oak Hills book #2. That's all I'm going to tell you for now, but trust me when I tell you it's going to be worth it.
Want to try Something New?
Remember the Villains Ever After books I shared with you a few months ago? Well, they’re all out now and available in Kindle Unlimited. Not only that, but I actually got to meet A.G. Marshall and Lucy Tempest at the conference in Vegas.
Yes, I fully lost my mind and fan-girled over them. It’s cool. They didn’t mind.
A Villain's Ever After, a collection of standalone stories featuring villainous twists on some of your favorite classic fairytales. Read the series in any order for magical adventures...and fall in love with villains as you've never seen them before. Who said villains can't have happily-ever-afters?
That’s it for now. I hope everyone has an amazing kick-off to the holiday season. Eat food, be safe, have fun, and read books!
Stay amazing,
Penelope
