a road trip, a box set and a cold

Hello my lovelies,

Is anyone else as slow to get back into the swing of things as I am? 2022 did not exactly start off on the right foot here in the Freed household.

Getting home from our visit to family over the holidays was an ordeal—what should have been a long, but tolerable, fifteen-hour drive home ended up taking us TWENTY-ONE hours!

It’s very hard to get out of Southern California when they close The Grapevine, did you know that?

But we made it home, only for me to promptly get sick with one of the worst colds I’ve ever had. But, it’s all in the past now. I’m feeling much better and have been working on some new projects and having a blast.

How did your new year start? Better than mine, I hope!

What’s New

Mark your calendars—I’m planning a release for 2/2/22. That’s right, on Two-Two-Two-Two (tutu tutu!), I’ll be releasing the On Pointe BOX SET!

!!!!!!!!

Not only will you get all 4 books in one, but there will be two (2! I can’t help myself! Someone take the exclamation key away from me!) additional short stories inside! Pas de Deux was formerly released as I’m Not Supposed to be Here in the Sweet Romance Anthology. This one is Ms. Parker and Mike’s story, taking place about ten years before the start of Toe to Toe.

Pas de Trois is a never before released short story I wrote featuring Hannah and Trevor as they embark on their new, grown up, life in New York City. Timewise, it takes place between the last chapter and the epilogue of Heart to Heart.

I can’t wait to share these new stories with you!

The whole thing will be available in Kindle Unlimited if you just want to skip ahead to the new stories. Preorder links coming next time. Or maybe before. Who knows?

What’s Next

I’m getting ready to plot out the next book in the Oak Hills series, Third Wheel. As you guys know, the Oak Hills series will all be based on some of the great story ballets. Unraveling the very convoluted plot of Le Corsaire for this next book is going to take some work!

Any guesses on who’s story this one will be? Rosie? Nikki? Benny? Marcus?

If you haven't read Crossed Stars, Oak Hills book 1 yet, what are you waiting for?

Want to Try Something New?

This one is going on my TBR right now!

Logo t-shirts, glasses with frames two sizes too big,

and a hard-core love of music and ice cream.

That’s how I’d describe my best friend, Liam.

Back then, we were inseparable.

I took off to California with my new college boyfriend, Roger,

ready to get away from the dirt and cows in my podunk town

wanting to start a new life with him.

Fired, dumped, and evicted my life was reduced

to a box of cereal without any milk.

Nowhere to go except back home,

where I had left everything and everyone behind.

Athletic build, five o’ clock shadow and that

same of love of salted, caramel ice cream.

That’s how I’d describe Liam, six years later.

Except, he wasn’t my best friend anymore.

Stay amazing,

Penelope
