Hey, Street Team!

Book three in the Madcaps series, Misnomer, is now available for preorder exclusively on Amazon (more about that mishap later!).

For the uninitiated, Madcaps is my urban fantasy comedy series about people in southern New Hampshire who live double lives as iconic cartoon characters in a classic show that is undergoing a disastrous reboot.

It's pretty snappy, meta, and a fun playground of classic cartoon tropes with deeper underlying drama and a love triangle I've been getting increasingly sucked into.

Enough of my gushing! Check it out in better detail below:

Old habits are hard to break.

Recording sessions for the reboot of the classic Madcaps cartoon have settled into a comfortable routine. Even though there are a few hitches left to be untangled, Mary and Max feel like they’re getting the hang of their new lives for the first time.

Unfortunately, the drama starts anew when a new guest star is announced who could ruin everything. Max and Mary hop back into their alternate lives inside of the show to confront the culprit, only to find that the divide between character and voice actor could be more than they imagined.

When Mary’s own legitimacy voicing her role is brought into question, she realizes it might take more to fix the show than she had earlier imagined.

This is the third book in Sierra Storm’s Madcaps series. Since the story in Madcaps is sequential with some cliffhangers, it is recommended that new readers begin with the first book: Madcaps.

Dheltan warrior Darren Tagik didn't want to be sent from routine soldier duties on the planet of Ohiri to Drypso, a hard won barren outpost on the border of the Empire. They only have to guard a few females for the journey, and they're travelling on a Dheltan ship. How hard can it be?

But the mission is more complex than he thought. His orders are to pick up human females from Earth, as screened by the Harmonious Mates Agency. When he meets Aelenna, he recognizes his fated mate. Author News

Book release days are some of the lightest on my schedule due to the fact that I do all of the work for the release beforehand, and now I get to enjoy the fruits of my labor and celebrate the new book.

As for the publishing setup, it's a lot of crazy with a few glimmers of brilliance. One of the teeny bits that I have to keep in mind as I set up the listing is to make the book available as a preorder and not simply publish a draft that is almost-ready-but-not-necessarily quite.

This time, I did the right thing on Amazon, and my preorder listing shows up as expected. But I forgot to fill in the preorder box on my other distributor, and woke up the other day to discover that the book went live. I have since unlisted it, but I'll have to wait until release day to put it back.

Phew!

Well, there's my rambling for the week. I'll let you know when Misnomer comes out in all its glory. Hang on tight in the meantime!

Ciao!
