Hi ,
In November, I accepted a Site Supervisor job at my company. I have previously worked as a shift supervisor, but I never really wanted to do Site Supervisor because of what I have seen in the past. One of the biggest problems I have seen with supervisor positions is the fun job of scheduling.
Just when you think you have it all figured out, something happens, and you are playing Tetris all over again. My family life was always a struggle and the last thing I wanted was work to be a struggle too. Now my home life has settled, I decided to take on the challenge and build my portfolio.
I've been in the Security industry so long without growing that I knew now was the time to become more than I was. It is time to stop coasting and time to start growing. Life flies by so fast that you need to take what chances you get to excel in your career.
Honestly, I'd love to become an investigator. I love the act of discovering how something was done. I've always loved puzzles and investigating is trying to piece a puzzle together to create a full picture of what happened.
So who knows, maybe I will get my investigator license and be able to write stories about investigators more accurately. *lol* The world is a big place with a lot of jobs to choose from so even though one job may not work out for you doesn't mean another won't. So if you haven't found your dream career yet, do not dismay. Time has a way of uncovering your path.
Have a good night.
xo,
Patricia Elliott
