Hi ,
We did it. We moved to Saskatoon. The weather change is a shock to say the least. We go from 23 degrees one day to -2 the next, with snow falling. And now it’s 10 degrees again. The dry air is also playing having with my hair, hands and lips. If anyone has any tips and tricks for dealing with skin and hair that hates the weather and a body that is stressed with the barometrics pressure changes, I am all ears *lol*.
I am certainly glad that we chose an apartment to live in for this first winter. It will definitely help us acclimatize to Saskatchewan without having to deal with digging out our driveway when the bigger snowfall hits.
But we did have something amazing happen on our drive to Saskatoon. Due to the time crunch, we had to get on the road super early and started driving around 3:30 am. On our way here from Hinton Alberta, we actually saw the aurora boralis in its full glory as we drove through the middle of nowhere. We couldn’t stop to take a picture unfortunately, but it was incredible to see with the naked eye.
I think that’s what makes me the most excited living out here. I’ve been itching to see the northern lights, and that is something that happens more regularly out here. It also makes me want to buy a property outside of the city so that I can see them anytime they are out and about.
But currently, as seen below, we have a nice apartment to live in while we wait for the spring to roll around, which is when we are going to start actively looking for a place to buy. So please, let me know your thoughts on whether you would want to live in the city or outside of the city and why.
(Our cute little apartment)
xo,
Patricia Elliott

In the Pines by K. Rose
They'll Risk everything just to be together. Every. Single. Time…
Breanna's been my best friend since high school started. So much so, we've done everything together, including the college experience. There's just one problem . . .
I've been in love with her since I was old enough to know what love is.
She doesn't know it, of course. We went on one date our freshman year of high school, and it was a disaster. After that, we promised we'd stay friends, no matter what. And we have. But my feelings for her haven't changed. If anything, they're stronger than they've ever been.
My Frat buddies and I invite Bre and her roommate to come hang with us on a trip for Spring Break. By the time we're ready to head back for the last leg before graduation, I'm doing everything I can to not lose Bre.
Trying for a relationship with her is everything I want, but it's also the most terrifying thing I've thought about. The last thing I want is to lose her as my best friend if things don't work out because I can't picture my life without her.
But after graduation, I'm going Pro for soccer, and she already has a teaching job lined up here at home.
Now it's time to figure out how much this love is worth because I might have to put everything on the line to have it.
