Hi ,
I'm delighted to introduce our brand new game - Panjango Top 10s - available exclusively to our Resource Bank subscribers.
Panjango Top 10s is a fast-paced naming game where players race against the clock to name as many of the Top 10 examples of a topic relating to the world of work as they can in 60 seconds e.g. 'jobs in a hospital’, 'famous inventors' or ‘the main tasks of a solicitor’ etc.
There are already dozens of different Top 10s topics in the game to allow for repeat gameplay but we're still busy uploading more content to further increase the variety and depth of the game.
Learning outcomes:
- allows students to demonstrate their existing knowledge of careers and learn more about the world of work
- teaches Labour Market Information (LMI) in a fun and engaging way
- opens minds to new career possibilities and stimulates thought and discussion about future life choices
- helps young people to find their purpose by thinking about the problems they would like to solve in the world
- develops a range of key skills such as communication, critical thinking and teamworking
Playing the game:
To access the Panjango Top 10s game, simply click here.
The Game Manual can be downloaded here - and the game Scorecard here. These are also available on the game site - and in your Resource Bank library - for when you need them in the future.
It's worth reading the Game Manual to gain a full understanding of how the game works - and how it can be used either in the classroom, or for remote or family learning.
The gameplay is incredibly straightforward and students should be able to play the game independently with very little instruction.
Questions/feedback:
Please let me know if you have any questions about how to use the game - or if you have any feedback about how you have enjoyed playing the game with your students, or how it could be improved.
It's taken a while to finish off this game due to some technical issues, but I hope you agree that the final product is worth the wait! I'm confident that it will prove to be an exciting way of engaging your students in career learning.
Kindest regards,
Jon and the Panjango Team
