---------------

I recently realized that some of my audience may need to become more familiar with the history, goals, and dreams behind Olinda Services. The inception of Olinda Services stemmed from my deep-seated mission to support missionaries worldwide. My journey began over three decades ago.

My journey started with assisting dedicated individuals with creating electronic newsletters, organizing events, setting up databases, and tackling the complexities of mail merge. I thrived in the virtual world through years of experience as a church secretary and, later, my corporate background. As the demand for my expertise and support grew, it became evident that the work was indispensable. I realized I had to stop doing all of the work pro bono and start making money to support my habit of helping others. My journey of navigating the tumultuous waters of virtual, nonprofit, and missionary endeavors began.

I officially established Olinda Services to ensure the sustainability and expansion of our mission-driven work. I registered my business in Delaware and birthed an organization devoted to empowering small businesses, nonprofits, and missionaries with the tools and support they require to impact the world positively.

My unwavering dedication and efforts have not gone unnoticed, and I've earned the "Chaos Whisperer" title for fearlessly confronting challenges and transforming them into solutions. For Christmas, I had the distinct joy of receiving a beautiful bracelet engraved with "Chaos Goddess." What an honor!

I consider myself blessed that my work has touched the lives of countless individuals and organizations, leaving an indelible mark on the world of nonprofits and missionary work.

Olinda Services deeply appreciates the challenges that come with transitions and changes. In 2022, we embarked on a significant journey by moving our headquarters to the stunning Foothills region of South Carolina. This transition posed unique challenges, including seamlessly maintaining client relationships and business operations.

In 2023, I deliberately shifted my professional focus, centering my efforts primarily on collaborating with nonprofit organizations. Through my extensive journey with numerous domestic and international nonprofit entities, I have gained profound insights into the challenges commonly faced by small and mid-sized nonprofits. My current emphasis is on customizing strategic approaches that empower these nonprofits to survive and thrive, streamlining their operations and eliminating redundant efforts.

Moving forward, my newsletters and upcoming services will be laser-focused on tackling these specific pain points. I'm committed to tailoring unique approaches that foster growth and prosperity within the nonprofit sector.

Small and mid-size nonprofit organizations often encounter significant pain points in their operations. Here are several ways Olinda Services can help nonprofit organizations improve operational efficiency.

  1. Process Optimization and Streamlining: Olinda Services can thoroughly assess a nonprofit's operational processes and identify areas where efficiencies can be gained. By streamlining workflows, automating repetitive tasks, and eliminating bottlenecks, we can help nonprofits operate more smoothly and reduce time and resource wastage.
  2. Technology Integration and Training: We can advise nonprofits on selecting and implementing the right technology solutions for their needs. Recommendations may include donor management software, CRM systems, project management tools, or communication platforms. We also provide training to ensure staff and volunteers can effectively use these tools to enhance productivity.

Dare to Dream

As I shift my professional focus towards collaborating primarily with nonprofit organizations, I'm embarking on a journey with three specific aspirations:

  1. Speaking Engagements: I aspire to share my expertise by speaking at professional events addressing the nonprofit executive assistants' unique challenges. I aim to provide valuable insights and practical solutions that empower these professionals to excel in their roles. I would appreciate your suggestions if you have any podcast recommendations where I could be a guest.
  2. Educational Content: I'm committed to continuing my writing efforts to provide free resources that guide nonprofit leaders through the complexities of managing staff, training, and streamlining operations. I aim to alleviate the overwhelm often experienced in these areas, offering actionable advice and strategies.
  3. Comprehensive Guides: I am excited to start producing comprehensive guides that offer step-by-step checklists for achieving organizational efficiency. These guides will equip team members with practical tools to hit the ground running, ensuring smoother and more effective operations within nonprofits.

I would love to hear from you and learn more about the challenges you're currently facing in your organization.

Your insights and experiences can shape my efforts to support and address the specific needs of nonprofit professionals. Please feel free to share your thoughts and challenges with me.
