• During the week of July 13 to July 19, 2026, NYC hosts an array of citywide, cultural events, including multi-venue music programming at SummerStage NYC

• World Cup Final Match Official Viewing (NYNJ FWC26 Fan Events) - Sunday, July 19 from 1 p.m. to 6 p.m. Just a short ferry ride away, head to the Parade Ground on Governors Island to watch the World Cup Final on a large-scale outdoor screen with DUSC soccer clinics and live DJs.

• Smorgasburg Great Ice Cream Fair - Prospect Park  Sunday, July 19, 2026  a full-day, family-friendly ice cream social with guest ice cream vendors, market specials, hands-on activities, games, giveaways, and plenty of reasons to stay awhile

• Carnegie Hall Citywide: All month. Free live music residency performances held across city parks and

• Get Free tickets for the NYC Municipal Building's Centre 360  viewing sessions which began June 11. With eight daily viewing sessions offered Monday through Friday from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. Reservations for the next available month open on the first day of the preceding month, but slots frequently sell out quickly. DUMBO & Brooklyn Heights: Enjoy outdoor, community-oriented waterfront films and music series, including family-friendly movie nights regularly programmed at Brooklyn Bridge Park and a regular flea market 

Locals and visitors can head to Brooklyn Bridge Park for outdoor cinema events and free kayaking sessions along the waterfront thru September 26

Prospect Park: The BRIC Celebrate Brooklyn! festival continues at the Lena Horne Bandshell, offering free and ticketed outdoor music and dance performances (thru September 19)

Long Island City: Sunset Jazz at Culture Lab LIC (Long Island City Partnership) - Friday, July 17 @ 8:00 PM - 9:30 PM Enjoy live jazz performances, cool drinks, and great community vibes in an intimate indoor art gallery space.

Jamaica: Queens Jazz Trail Concert Series (Kupferberg Center for the Arts) - Thursday, July 16 @ 7:00 PM Head to Baisley Pond Park for an evening of free live jazz honoring Coltrane, featuring Vincent Herring and Steve Turre.

🏟The Bronx

Riverdale: Participate in artist-led contemporary walkthroughs of museum exhibitions that highlight local sound and installation art pieces at the Van Cortlandt House Museum

Wave Hill Weekly Public Gallery Tour: features current exhibitions.

Bronx Park: Daniel Tiger's Neighborhood: Open daily through September. An interactive, bilingual exhibit at the Bronx Zoo bringing the PBS series to life for children. Free admission on Wednesdays

South Bronx: The Bronx Music Heritage Center features neighborhood-centric live music and oral history presentations.

Fordham: The New York Botanical Garden hosts extended summer hours for its exhibitions, floral displays, and outdoor walking trails. 

Melrose: Latin American Foto Festival - Photobook Talk (Bronx Times Events) July 15, 6:00 PM. An engaging conversation with photographer Alicia Vera centered around her work Va a Llover Toda La Noche at the Bronx Documentary Center.

Concourse: Bodega 1600 ( Bronx Times Events ) Wed July 15, 6:00 PM. A lively live music and cultural gathering taking place at Macombs Dam Park.

🏝️Staten Island

St. George: Must-See St. George  Enjoy free local music, artisan maker stalls, and community outdoor festivities, which regularly pop up on the waterfront near the Staten Island Ferry Terminal and St. George Theatre.

St. George: The St. George Theatre hosts musical events and local community arts programs.

Tottenville: Alice's Terracotta Garden Outdoor Exhibit ongoing  (NYC Parks) - Monday, July 13 to Friday, July 17 from 11 a.m. to 3 p.m. Explore this ongoing, family-friendly outdoor sculptural art exhibit near the H.H. Biddle House in Conference House Park. 

Stapleton / North Shore: Snug Harbor Cultural Center & Botanical Garden hosts outdoor summer markets, art exhibitions, and historical walking tours.
