Hello Bellaholics,
If you ever wanted to know where the name "Bellaholic" came from, here's the tale. Some years ago, my amazing fans started calling themselves "Bellaholics" because they said they were addicted to my books. My readers gave themselves that name and I respect it greatly.
That's something every author loves to hear. That someone loves our books so much, that they can't wait for the next. For me, I was extremely honored because I love to write. I've been writing since I was 11 years old. First, it was just short horror stories, no more than a few handwritten pages long. I found my old stories recently and I think I might flesh some of them out in a horror anthology. But I digress. That's where it started.
Then when I saw the movie "Interview with the Vampire" I was so blown away by how different it was from all of the other vampire content that was out there. I just had to read the books and was inspired to write my own vampire book. I typed it out on a typewriter because I didn't have a computer at 14 years old.
It wasn't bad, but it wouldn't hold up to my standards today, but it was ambitious. It was a story that started in the past and ended in the future as a vampire and his fledging had their ups and downs (mostly downs). I was feeding off the dynamic of Lestat and Louis and in my own story, the master vampire didn't want to let go of his fledgling. To this day, I still love that trope, but you hardly see it.
That is one of the motivations behind Theoden and Noel and then Theoden and Dante. Only in the New Haven series, Theoden didn't allow Noel to leave him. LOL!
Anyway, that was a little bit about me and what inspired me to become a writer.
I recently did an interview with J. Scott Coatsworth and if you're interested in reading it, you can click this LINK
For more updates, I have finished writing Punished: Road to Carnage Series and have sent it off to Heidi for editing. So, soon, that book will be released. However, if you can't wait, you can join my VIPs as the VIP ARC of Punished is now available. You must be at tier "Underboss" or higher to be able to read VIP edition ARCs.
I am reaching out to Matt Williams for the audiobook of Betrayed. I'm hoping to get that done by the Summer.
That's it for updates. I hope you're all having a great day.
With all my love,
Nick.
