I love this series! It's one of my favorites I've written. Let me tell you a little bit about my inspiration for this series. Way back when Sons of Anarchy was airing, I became even more fascinated with the lifestyle of an outlaw biker. I already have a thing for assertive ppl and they were like a gruff version of the Mafia, which is also one of my obsessions.
Also, the TV series "Oz" was a favorite of mine. I found the toxic relationship between Beecher and his lover to be very intriguing and I enjoyed the moments when it was sweet between them.
I had wanted to create series with the mafia, and one for outlaw bikers and one with a prison romance. But I was still writing several other series.
Then it came to me. Why write three separate series when I could combine them? I could get the best of all worlds rolled up into one intense series.
I also wondered HOW should I write it? Do I write a book for each couple? Or do I approach it like I did with my New Haven Series, and make it almost like you're watching a TV series when you read it?
I decided to do the latter, because I felt I had more creativity that way to include a lot of the intricacies of their worlds as each couple found their HEA/HFN.
I did a lot of research too. Spoke to some former "Old ladies", watched documentaries and YT videos by actual 1% and 99% biker MC members. Read articles and I did the same for mafia culture and prison by watching YT vids by ex-cons who spoke about their experiences. I watched a lot of documentaries as well.
I wanted to be as realistic as possible and still have room to add some "creative license" so to speak, so that I could make the story my own.
I have a lot of books planned for this series and I hope you all enjoy the ride.
