Ladies and Gentlemen, we have a baby!

We are so excited to announce that Judah Vincent Cash-Comeaux has joined our family, and he is the sweetest baby boy in the whole world! This seems sudden? It was for us too!

How Judah Joined our Family

Last month we matched with a birth mother in Alabama who was expecting a baby boy on December 25. Fast forward to December 6, when our lazy Saturday got turned upside-down upon receiving the call that the baby was coming today! We packed up our lives as quickly as possible and headed straight to Alabama on the first flight we could find. We got the call on our way to the airport that baby was born a healthy (and hefty) 10lbs 2oz at 10:15AM. We flew straight over, picked up our rental car, and met Judah at the hospital at 5PM that same day!

What We've Been Up To

We spent a couple days with Judah in the hospital before setting up shop at an AirBnB where we have enjoyed spending so many special (and sometimes sleepless) moments together. We will be wrapping up our appointments on this side of town, and later this week will be traveling to stay with some good friends elsewhere in the state. We will be waiting out our ICPC paperwork there, and hope to return to Florida by the end of the month or early January.

What's Next

Because we are spending the first few weeks with Judah in another state, we have enlisted some wonderful friends and family back home to set up our nursery for when we return. We have put together a baby registry here, which will be sent to our family in Florida and be set up for us prior to returning!
