August 28th is National Great Poetry Reading Day and to wrap up National Poetry Month, I figured our weird fact should stem somewhere in that realm.
Weird Fact: The skin of murderer George Cudmore was used to bind an 1852 edition of John Milton's Poetical Works.
I'm not sure how much weirder we can get for poetry than that....
I used to write poetry. Admittedly, not as much anymore. Once in a while I'll get a hair up my ass and get back to it, but it's pretty few and far between these days. In high school, my now husband, then friend, actually used one of my poems to woo another girl. Ahh well. As you can see, that didn't work out in his favor. Her loss, my gain and all that.
Sometimes, love is complicated. The road is winding, the hills are steep, and trials are worthy of Hercules himself. But hey, we've been together twenty-two years. Must be doing something right.
Honey and Cap, however, are getting on my last flipping nerve. I can't say too much, lest I give stuff away, but have you ever just wanted to take a character and shake them? I'm at that point. Thankfully, for them, they're fictional. I can only imagine shaking them in mind.
Two pain in the ass characters—free to a good imagination.
While I'm dealing with them in this rough draft, remember you can have a sneak peek in the newly released LOVE IS FATAL anthology. Limited time! Get your copy now!
