Need more incentive? Here's a little tidbit from my story, UNEXPECTED MOMENTS - A Crow's Nest Interlude.
***
The familiar sound of a motorcycle revved as it game through the gate. Instead of slowing down, the woman hit the throttle. Basketball Jersey aimed his gun. Cap swung the wrench down on his wrist. He cried out, arm going down, weapon skittering across the pavement. Cap grabbed it and dashed to the side as Honey turned the bike, leaning at a forty-five-degree angle, one foot down to keep balance, as she drifted right through the men. They dove out of the way, rolling along the asphalt, and sputtering surprised curses.
Standing, he aimed the gun at Ball Cap. Miguel came out from behind the crates, his own gun leveled. Not a surprise. Most of them kept weapons nearby these days. After nearly being blown up, he didn’t take chances.
None of them did anymore. Things had become much too dangerous lately.
Hunter and Jax walked out of the dry storage building. Each held a shotgun from the hidden locker. Only Crow’s Nest personnel knew where it was and had access.
Honey stopped her motorcycle, and pulled off the matching purple helmet, shaking out her multi-color braids. She winked at Cap and then looked over. “I don’t particularly like it when someone has a gun aimed at my man.”
If the men, getting back to their feet, weren’t still a threat, Cap would have grinned. Arousal coursed through him, and he would hold on to the memory of her being an absolute bad ass for later. But for now, he pushed it away, focusing on the issue at hand.
″The hell is going on?” Jax walked over and tilted his lover’s chin up. “Jason?”
″I’m okay.”
Jax tightened and turned a dark, dangerous gaze on the men backing toward the exit. He pointed his shotgun directly at Ball Cap. “These fuckers do this?”
Ball Cap held up his hands. “Easy. Seems we’ve had a misunderstanding.”
Honey leaned forward on the handlebars. “Oh sweetie. You have no idea.”
″Fuck you.” Basketball Jersey cradled his hand to his chest. The way it dangled, there was no doubt it was broken.
Cap cocked the gun. “Watch your tongue, lest I decide to cut it from your mouth.”
