A New Chapter: Introducing the Rework Website and My Personal Philosophy

Hello, how ARE you?

Today, I’m excited to announce the new Rework website! It’s more than just a place for platform and marketplace advisory - it's a reflection of my journey in building a better life through my one-person business. But before I dive into the website, I want to share something that’s really central to Rework itself: the philosophy behind it.

You see, I've always been a believer in carving my own path. It’s never been about following the crowd or doing things the “right” way. A while ago, I made the decision to move away from Substack. Why? Because I didn't want to rely on algorithms to determine my success. I didn't want to be part of something that defines my voice or my message. Instead, I chose to keep my identity and write for myself—no expectations. If no one reads it, that's fine. I write because it’s the life I want to build, and I want to share that journey, in its raw form, with those who resonate with it.

This is the crux of Rework. It’s about building a better life through a one-person business, with the freedom to decide what works for you. And as I’ve reflected on this, I want to invite you to apply that same mindset to your own life. Whether you’re already running your own business or contemplating starting one, don't be bound by external pressures. Build it on your terms, for the life you truly want.

With the new Rework website, you'll see more about how I can help guide others through platform and marketplace advisory, as well as other business models. But more than that, it’s a space where I share this philosophy—a place to inspire and encourage you to take the leap and build something that reflects who you are.

So, if you’re in the midst of building your own venture, know that you're not alone in this. I'm here to help you navigate that journey, as I continue on my own. And above all, remember: It’s not about doing what everyone else is doing. It’s about doing it your way.

Thank you for being a part of this journey with me.

Until next time,

Alan
