Hello from Belgium,
I hope your week has been going well. Mine has been good. My husband has been away, and I don’t like sleeping alone, especially in our new home that I’m still getting used to. But I will live...
(*she holds her hand to her forehead and sighs dramatically*).
Now, I need to vent...
On Sunday night, I finally sat down and watched the third and final installment of The Kissing Booth.
My girls, and youngest son, and I, have enjoyed it okayish. But honestly, I hated the ending. (*spoiler alert*)
Three movies to break up and then have an open ending of them maybe, possibly, getting back together after spending six years apart. I hate those types of stories. 😠
I can buy into, and even go with a separation, a long one if need be, but why must there be such drama to end so messily?
Another thing that really bugged me...
Throughout the three movies (I didn’t read the books – don’t hate me) I felt like Noah grew up and matured as a character A LOT. Elle, on the other hand, kept repeating the same mistakes over and over again in each movie. Being stuck in the same pattern of trying to please everyone and failing miserably in the process. Why did she not learn to hang onto what she really wanted and let go of what didn’t?
Anyways, if you watched any of these movies, what are your thoughts? Did you like them/hate them? Tell me.
Also, if you have any good recommendations on romantic movies, teen movies, preferably with happy endings, let me know.
I love to watch, then feel inspired. Do you understand my K-drama addiction yet? 🥰
I hope you have a lovely weekend and that you are doing well.
Love,
Mx
