Tidbits--revisited

Jan 02, 2022 8:35 pm

I wrote some of this one a while back...but look out for the current Tid Bits below. They're NEW.

I like little sound bites from the news. Except they aren't sound bites when you write them down.

Nope, they're morsels. Or tidbits. So that's what I'm calling this. They're just very short factoids that come to mind...

Will Tid Bits be a regular thing at My Daily Grind News? I don't know. YOU get to decide.

Tell me what you think. Hit reply.

Here are today's Bits:

  1. KKR and BMG have given all their lovin' to ZZ Top. Following bassist Dusty Hill's death in July, the global investment company purchased the iconic band’s publishing catalog, recorded music income, and performance royalties for $50 million. It's kinda crazy to think how little they got compared to, say, The Boss. But they did wind up with $1 million for every year they've been together in addition to the buttloads they made during every one of those years.
  2. Some schools are not re-opening right away tomorrow, but the vast vast majority are. It will be interesting to see how it all shakes out.
  3. COVID is still the predominant story of 2022 and will be for the foreseeable future.
  4. The House January 6 committee is planning on taking its findings to the public. Should be interesting. I wonder when (if is more like it) #TFG will go under oath and plead the Fifth?

That's it for now. Have a fantastic day! Hopefully, the Morning Sixpack Monkey and I can get our #$@ together tomorrow morning and deliver the very first Morning Sixpack of 2022.
