All hell will break loose

Or will it?
What am I talking about?
You may think it's about the (possibly) historic overturning of Roe v. Wade (abortion rights) that the US Supreme Court is adjudicating today (and probably for weeks or months before they render a decision)...
And you'd be right.
This could set a very very bad precedent -- a precedent that overturns an actual precedent.
You see, the Court has already ruled that abortion is legal through the first trimester (ish). (I'm being a little dishonest when I say that -- they set the bar at something like "23 weeks.")
But what they really did was set the bar at viability, which many (most?) medical professionals deemed to be around 5-6 weeks.
There is no doubt in my mind that the vast majority of the SCOTUS wants to abolish abortion. They won't say it, but they were specifically chosen because of their views on this very issue.
They'll twist and contort about it, but make no mistake, they'll let the MIssissippi law stand, which will open floodgates to other states restricting the ability of women to make a personal choice or outright outlawing that choice.
I will not be surprised if the SCOTUS announces their decision in the cover of darkness.
Because all hell will break loose.
Congress could very well pass a law that establishes the right to get an abortion, but they won't because they're unprincipled cowards.
It's a sad sad day in America. Women's rights just reverted backwards 50+ years.
Read all about it here.

Make it a great day!
