🕋 Muslim News from Around the World

Israeli forces have once again stormed Masjid Al-Aqsa on September 27th after three days of occupying East Jerusalem. Under the guise of Rosh Hashanah, the Israeli occupation barricaded multiple parts of the West Bank to allow Israeli settlers inside Masjid Al-Aqsa to perform rituals that are prohibited by law through a deal signed in 1967 between Israel and Jordan. This deal was made to uphold the status quo within Masjid Al-Aqsa’s compound by only allowing Jewish settlers to visit the premises and not engage in any prayer. This mirrors a similar series of attacks made last year during Ramadan that caused hundreds of casualties and over 400 Palestinian arrests. Many videos have surfaced of Israeli officers forcing Palestinian Muslims to leave the premises of Masjid Al-Aqsa. One of the videos included in this article shows an Israeli officer pushing an elderly man onto the stone stairs of the mosque compound.
