Ok... Now what am I forgetting??

Hi praying friends!

We have a short-term team from Crossway Alliance Church on the ground right now, and they are great to have here. We are really enjoying getting them connected to other Alliance works in Berlin, showing them the city, prayer-walking with them, and engaging in our site rhythms and teaching times.

Because the days are long, and because we are also preparing for our home assignment, there are often times that I find myself asking, "Ok - what am I forgetting?" (I am sure age has nothing to do with this...)

Part of the challenge here is that there are SO many beaurocratic pieces to this in Germany. Have we parked the phone contracts we need to park? What about insurance while we are gone for our apartment? Have we cancelled our transportation passes? How about signing over our car? Do we need an appointment for that - or can we do it online (or by email, or by post)?

So - here is a big prayer request! In our last just under 4 weeks, can you please pray that we don't forget anything important?

We are also having a lot of the "we will be gone for a year" conversations with neighbors and friends. Because Berlin is a city filled with internationals who come and then go, many of our friends do not know how to completely interact with that. We have left for a year and come back before, but many of them are trying to find the balance between saying "see-you-later" and "good-bye."

Here are some prayer requests:

  1. Keep praying for us to hear back from the Visa office about Josh's appointment!
  2. Pray for us as we wrap up a lot of the details, both at work and at home.
  3. Pray for us as we get our apartment ready for our son, Joshua, to continue to live there and for intern housing.
  4. Pray for the ongoing details of home assignment.
  5. Pray for our house church - we have one more meeting with them before we switch to an online/them meeting without us model!
  6. Please pray for health - physical, mental, and spiritual. The prep for home assignment is exhausting!

Blessings,

mike
