Interviews and waiting - a strangely liminal week!

Dear praying friends,
I know this update is going out as many of you are receiving the results of the US election. Statistically speaking, 51% of people will be happy about the results and 49% will be disappointed. To all, let me remind you of the words of Edward Mote in his beautiful hymn:
My hope is built on nothing less
Than Jesus’ blood and righteousness.
I dare note trust the sweetest frame,
but wholly lean on Jesus’ name.
On Christ the solid rock I stand,
all other ground is sinking sand.
This week has been an interesting week for us at Envision Berlin! We have interviewed potential new staff members, had an interview with an intern, and will be interviewing a potential resident tomorrow. I also got to attend the Alliance Young Adults event in the Twin Cities. This is super exciting for us! We love seeing the opportunity to grow our team and develop the next generation of missional leader.
This also puts us into a strangely liminal space - in which we wait for approvals on staff members or for interns to arrive, waiting and trusting for God to keep moving and for His will to be accomplished on His timetable. Can you relate?
Some other prayer requests:
- Thanks for praying for my mom's back surgery. She is recovering and has some significant nerve pain. Please pray for relief!
- We will be traveling to help my dad with a project on Friday and on Saturday will drive to South Dakota for several church visits. Pray for safe travels.
- We will be connecting with 3 churches in South Dakota in the coming week. Pray for us as we share!
If you are in the Aberdeen or Groton area, please check with Journey Church, Aberdeen Alliance, or Groton Alliance to see when we will be sharing! We would love to see you.
If you are new to the list and want to know more about our story, you can sign up for a 5-day email campaign that will tell our story here.
Blessings,
mike
