Dear praying friends,

Thank you so much for praying for us over the last 3 weeks as we have engaged with churches in New York and Pennsylvania. Some of you are new to this list because you met us on our trip and signed up to receive updates from us! In Germany, October 31st is Reformation Day - celebrating the day that Martin Luther nailed his 95 Theses to the door of the church in Whittenberg, Germany in 1517.

This year, on Reformation Day, Elissa and I will be ending our road trip and landing back in Minnesota, where we will re-form some of our habits and rhythms before we travel again in November.

What is God re-forming in you? As you take on the image of the 2nd Adam (one of the ways Paul describes Jesus in 1 Corinthians 15:45-48) - what are you growing in? I am learning and relearning the importance of quiet time in the presence of the Father and the need of being filled with the Spirit.

Here is how you can pray for us and our team in the coming week:

1. Pray for safe travel for Elissa and I!
2. Pray for our son Josh as he heads off on his next school block (and celebrates his birthday at school) this coming week.
3. Pray for our team in Berlin as they reestablish their regular rhythms after a long stretch of serving a short-term team and at Teams Forum in Germany.
4. Pray for Envision Berlin as we start to focus more heavily on planning for 2025. Our last team for 2024 visited in October, and as we turn the calendar, we realize we have a lot of prep work to do to prepare for teams and interns next year. We also have some publishing goals with upcoming deadlines. The time between teams is perfect for these activities, but with as much as we have on our plates, we need you to pray that we prioritize well!
5. My mom is going in for an OLLIF procedure on her back on Friday. Please pray for a successful surgery and quick recovery!
