A NOTE FROM AMY
💻🚼 5 Signs You Can Do Remote Work With Kids
🚨 📢 No Secrets Here, Folks! You may have all you need under your nose...
- The tech, may travel
- The kids, may also travel
- The internet or can access it
- The spaces to perch on, extra points for double duties
- The ideas + audacity to start messy
🪄✨️ Don't worry, I can help you with the last one, provide strategies + resources to optimize all of the others to flow better together (keep scrolling for more flexible work inspiration).
⏳ Short on time? Examples of things I've chipped away on in 10-30 minute windows over the past decade:
🗓 Project management + admin
💸 Invoicing + bookkeeping
📱 Content marketing + sales
🖥 Applications, e-learning + upskilling
✍️ Document intellectual property
🎬 Employee training videos
🔊 Podcast research + interviews
📣 Event management + promo
🎤 Speeches, slide decks + resources
🚼📊 Most things behind building Mixing Babies And Business™
Since 2014, I've spent most weeks working under 30 hours...
Between moving countries, pregnancies and postpartum periods, toddler stages, no daycare phases, school hours and the many, many, unpredictable sick days.
Usually messy, imperfect and some may even judge as 'unprofessional' but spoiler alert: I still earned an income, spoke on stages, completed projects, received grants and sponsorships, made a social impact, helped others grow (and sustain) their businesses.
I even had a local owner ask me to take over their business between it all! The timing for our family wasn't aligned, a story for another day.
If I've learned anything over the past two decades it's this:
We're often our biggest blocker* to what's possible...AND people (businesses, clients, partners) still want to work with you if they believe you're the one who can get them the results they need.
*Besides society, systemic inequalities, family, peers, your kids, your health and wellbeing...I have tips for those too.

PARENTING: This isn't strictly about parenting but this alert from Amélie Morency (via a LinkedIn post), about people using AI to scam others using your cloned voice reminded me why we aren't posting images of our children's faces all over the internet as caregivers and guardians, why you may want to discuss these security issues offline and create safety measures.

WELLNESS: On that note, it's also the reason behind the 2025 community theme of 'REST', where I share a private podcast and digital resources to support your intuition, embodiment and energy management as a parent and professional (via the Mixing Babies And Business™ online portal).
