"Tracing The River Back," our inaugural group exhibition of 2025, opens today at 7:00 pm. This exhibition examines "Home," it is not always a fixed place – it is a current, shifting and flowing like a river that carries us between past and present, near and far. Tracing the River Back is an exploration of the journeys we take to rediscover where we come from and the evolving meaning of belonging.
Artist: Ejiro Fenegal. Adaobi. Bonded Marble. 2025.
Like water carving its way through time and terrain, we seek the origins that shape us, following threads of memory, migration, and identity. Some paths lead us home; others unravel new truths about who we are. Along the way, we collect fragments—stories whispered in the wind, landscapes imprinted in our bones, and the unspoken knowledge carried in our very being.
Artist: Izere Antoine. Crimson Skies. Oil on canvas. 2025
This exhibition invites us to trace the rivers that run through our histories, to listen to the land that remembers us, and to find, perhaps, another way home.
Artist: Matthew Eguavoen. A Gift from God. 2024.
Tracing the River Back features new paintings and sculpture from Izere Antoine, Matthew Eguavoen, Dusabe King Christian, Ejiro Fenegal, Odeyemi Oluwaseun, Manzi Leon, Benjamin Niyomugabo, Alex Peter Idoko, and Chika Idu.
