What is Your Relationship with Exercise? (Level 1-5)

Jan 23, 2026 5:26 pm

Habits have become a very popular area of study this century. As time goes on, it's only natural that we see that the behaviors we do repeatedly are the ones that shape our lives and identity.

In the scientific avalanche of information, some things get lost.

One idea we've lost is that behaviors are a lot like human relationships. We have specific feelings about them. We perceive them in different ways. They fulfill different roles in our lives.

So when it comes to behavior change, while the science of brain change is paramount for understanding the process of how things work, it's important to keep in mind the end goal. The science of habit tells us that repetition is the key. The end goal of that repetition is a change in relationship.

In regards to my new book, the end goal is a new and improved relationship with exercise.

Deeper understanding of this end goal will accelerate the process. Instead of mindlessly repeating a behavior to "make it a habit," you're cultivating a new appreciation and greater understanding of it. You will see the benefits of exercise and how it can serve you through mindful practice.

Mini Habits for Fitness guides you through this process for 60 days. You won't find this in any other book (until it's copied 😅).

If you do seek greater fitness, there isn't a better investment you can make. You get 15 years of research and obsession with behavior change for less than the price of lunch.

But first, why not take the test? Where is your relationship with fitness right now?

Take the Exercise Relationship Quiz here!

Take the quiz, see your score. Then read or listen to the book.

The goal is to improve one or two levels in the 60 days. Take the quiz again after and see your score change. Not mirror change, but relationship change, the kind that fuels mirror change for decades, not days.
