1 IDEA FROM ME
As a high performance coach I help people to raise their game and approach life with more meaning, achieving more desired outcomes.
The word "Performance" relates to accomplishment and assumes we are measuring it against a standard, a set of qualities or a goal.
Lately I have been thinking about energy a lot, and how, at times since the pandemic started it has felt difficult to perform particular tasks.
What has usually differentiated me from many people are my outputs and my relentless energy to stay consistent both in quality and in frequency.
But with this current lower form of energy I find it harder to stay at this level.
This is heavily linked to a new lifestyle I have adopted linked to these three main factors:
- Food
- Exercise
- Sleep
Before this pandemic started I could highlight that a lot of my clients weren't getting the right quality and/or amount of these factors (usually sleep), which was affecting their performance.
Sometimes, our biggest problem is a small change in habits, yet we all know habits do not "feel" easy to change.
I would assess your day and decipher an opportune time to take advantage of how you feel and find ways to eat right, exercise and get better sleep.
The best ways to do this is to:
- Get accountability from a friend or partner
- Have a specific goal in mind
- Follow recipes, a regime or routine
- Stick to small daily habits
Hopefully this contributes to you taking action so that you can truly be a high performer. Because if the energy is not there, nothing is in motion.

1 BOOK RECOMMENDATION FROM ME
Be Obsessed Or Be Average: Why Work-Life Balance is for Losers - Grant Cardone
Have you ever thought that in order for you to achieve your level of success you need to be a little crazy?
Genuinely, do you believe a sense of "work-life balance" will get you there?
Well in this book Grant Cardone gives you the permission to be extreme and intense with your pursuit towards success. As it states in the title, a sense of obsession is what will help you become above average.
This is essentially a book that shifts your mindset from the "prim and proper" to the more, "It's your life and you have licence to be extreme in order to get what you want."
I find this idea both interesting and true in many ways. You need to be uncommon or unusual to do uncommon and unusual things.
If you want to develop this mindset, then get a copy of this book.
