1 IDEA FROM ME πŸ’‘

How do you respond to change? I mean they say change happens all the time. But let's be real, there is some change that feels like a step too far.

For instance, the pandemic has threatened to change an entire generation of people whether they like it or not.

How do you respond to something like that? I mean, we have been responding to it, but what if something like this happens again?

There is almost a clue in what has already been stated but there are a number of ways that comes to mind.

  1. Recognize the 7 stages of grief and what stage you are in
  2. Use Emotional Agility to recognize and define how you feel, and accept those feelings so you can act on your emotions
  3. Understand that you can only control what you can control
  4. Allow what you know of the past to help you make informed decisions in the future

Now of course we are not robotic beings where we do this straight away, but regular exposure to these types of concepts will help you be conscious of how to manage change going forward.

This is one of the huge reasons why I am an advocate of Personal Development. I want to be prepared mentally and emotional for when times get tough!

...I would love to pass on that same desire onto you. Whether you like it or not, you are part of the Coronavirus Generation, and that means something in terms of how you handle adversity...

1 BOOK RECOMMENDATION FROM ME πŸ“š

How to Use a Journal - Jim Rohn

This may sound like a weird book title, but how many times have you been confused when attempting to journal for the 10th time?

Understanding what appears to be the simplest of things gives us the biggest boosts of confidence.

I thoroughly enjoyed listening to this book because it explained the purpose of a journal, when to use it and how to use it.

This created clarity for me and an opportunity to organize my thoughts in a constructive manner. Some may say journaling is not needed, especially when we have a lot of elaborate apps on the market, but if lockdown has taught me anything it is that people still want to connect to Authenticity.
