It's Music at the Meridian Thursday!

Aug 10, 2023 4:32 pm

We're excited for tonight! Bring your lawn chairs or blankets. Local opener Michael Dooley starts at 5:30pm. At 6:30pm, The Nadas take the Music at the Meridian stage.

The Nadas, a celebrated folk-Americana act, have captivated audiences for over three decades with their engaging live performances and unique 70s-meets-90s sound. Blending twangy country influences with raw alt-rock energy and heartfelt folk melodies, their music is authentic and alive. Having shared stages with iconic bands like The Beach Boys and Bon Jovi, selling over 300,000 albums, and being inducted into the Iowa Rock ā€˜n’ Roll Hall of Fame, The Nadas have solidified their place in the music industry. With a narrative songwriting approach inspired by acts like The Head and the Heart and Tom Petty, they explore the everyday joys and heartaches of life.

Founded by Mike Butterworth and Jason Walsmith, The Nadas began as an acoustic duo before evolving into a dynamic band known for their sound and mood rather than genre. Their new album, "Come Along for the Ride," invites listeners to embrace life's adventures and relish in the present moment. With relatable narratives and nostalgic lyrics, The Nadas create an effortless and compelling Americana experience that resonates with audiences.

Ben's Brewing Co. will be there with cold adult beverages including Levee Street Wheat made just for the event. Boozy Slushies are a big hit and you know they'll have them.

On this night we'll have food options from Grind N' Griddle, Broken Trellis, and JoJo Bean.
