What Happens After Forgiveness?

Mercy Tribe,

The last few weeks in our “Repair & Restore” series, we’ve talked about resolving conflict, letting go of judgment, and forgiveness.

But what happens after that?

What do you do when you’ve forgiven someone… but the pain still resurfaces? When you want to move forward, but your heart still feels guarded? When you know you’ve obeyed God, but you still don’t feel healed?

This Sunday, we’re wrapping up the series by talking about how to process pain with God instead of storing it as bitterness.

So many of us carry wounds longer than we need to because we think:

“I should be over this by now.”

“I shouldn’t still feel hurt.”

“Why does this still affect me?”

But Scripture shows us that God does not shame us for being wounded. He meets us there, and he invites us into healing.

If you’ve ever struggled with lingering hurt, guardedness, resentment, or just not knowing what to do with pain after forgiveness, we believe this message will encourage you and help you take another step toward freedom and restoration.

We hope to see you there Sunday. We’re praying for you this week.

Living a passionate mission,

Lee & Wendy
