When They Are Struggling to Succeed: Understanding How a 504 Plan Can Support Your Gifted/Twice Exceptional K-12th Grade Student
Tuesday, December 5, 7:00 - 8:30 pm Eastern
With Miriam Nunberg, Esq.
Attend at our NYC Office or Online
122 West 26th Street, Suite 700, NYC
- Does your child/teen routinely stay up late working on assignments?
- Does your child/teen’s grades not reflect the effort they put into their work?
- Does your child/teen hold it together during school and then fall apart when they get home?
- Is your child/teen’s school performance impacted by their learning disabilities, anxiety, intrusive thoughts, perfectionism and/or mental health?
If you answered YES to any (or all) of these questions, this event is for you. Join us as civil rights expert and education advocate Miriam Nunberg, Esq. provides audience members with a foundational understanding of how a 504 Plan can be an effective tool to support your student with learning disabilities, autism, ADHD, anxiety, obsessive compulsive disorder or other disabilities. Using a case study to demonstrate how 504 Plans work, how they differ from IEPs (individualized education plans), and what types of supports may be available, participants will come away with an understanding of what they can ask for and how they can make the case to obtain or strengthen a 504 Plan for their child.
Fee: $25
