Hi Dear Readers!

I hope you're all still well and staying safe. This month has been crazy with temperatures in the high 60s and then plummeting to the low 30s. One day shorts and the next a hat and scarf. I don't know whether I'm coming or going. But that's okay. Sometimes I just need to breathe. And that's what I've tried to do for a good portion of this month. I've taken my first real staycation in, well, a long time. I read, listened to audios, baked, and cuddled cats and family alike.

I know for many of us, December is a stressful month, and I'm no different. So, deciding to take a large portion of the month off from writing, and largely off from social media, has been a much needed break but also challenging. I even went away for a weekend without my laptop. I can honestly say, I can't remember the last time I've traveled without my computer. I felt like I was missing a limb. 🤣

For this month's newsletter I couldn't help but throw in another If Fantasy Creatures Could Text. These really are too much fun to write. Next month I'll include another World Fantasy News: The Fairest and Impartialist News Source Anywhere. I won't swear to it, but I hear that everyone's favorite red fury might be stopping by for an interview . . .

What exactly is YBBB?

• Free stories from 115+ authors.
• A year long event. All the stories will be free for at least a year. This means you don't have to try to download all 115+ in one day - you have 365 days to do it.
• You don't need to sign up for an author's newsletter to get our books. It's up to you. I know signing up for 115+ newsletters can be, uh, a bit much. Fair enough. Only sign up for the ones you want to sign up for, but I would urge you to pick one or two new-to-you writers to try out. You never know when one of them will become your must-read author and a newsletter is a great way to get a sense of the author as a person.

For what it's worth, I'm pretty sure Twig would NEVER allow Bill to have a cell phone if that even existed in the Elder. Bill just can't seem to help himself . . .

A Visit to Verona . . .

I can FINALLY talk about my upcoming release in the YBBB giveaway: Demon for the Win. Seriously, I am so bad at keeping my mouth shut. I wanted to yell it from the rooftops and show off my cover (designed by the Ah-Mazing Alex Corza). It's in my Much Ado About Demons universe and I guess you would call it Book .5 because it takes place before In Fair Verona and Must Love Demons. In Fair Verona, you briefly met Kem and Tuli who were trying to get married on a whim. Only it didn't go so well. Demon for the Win is their not-so-cute meet-cute, their romance, and their happily-ever-after. It can be read as a standalone. It does have an appearance from my favorite cinnamon roll of an incubus, Nico, and you'll recognize a few other familiar faces as well. You'll also meet a few new characters who have become near and dear to my heart. And it's a little over 40,000 words, so it's novella length.
