Hi Dear Readers!
This last month has been so busy with getting kids back in school, helping close friends through some rough times, and prepping for the GayRomLit (GRL) conference. Oh, and writing. In fact, I have a preorder to share with you below. 😍
I mentioned this in my reader group recently, so I want to mention it here as well: you may have noticed that a lot of your favorite authors are moving away from KU and going wide with some or all of their books. There's a host of reasons why so many authors are choosing this route and I support individual authors doing what's right for them. However, currently, I have no plans to leave KU. Certainly not this year, and I sincerely hope not in the near future. For now, everything stays the same. I hope this reassures those of you who've reached out to ask about my plans.

Preorder Alert!
The winter holidays are right around the corner and I’m here to bring you some early seasonal cheer! Do you love a good winter holiday romance full of sugar and spice and everything nice . . . including tentacles? Yeah, that's a new one to me, too. 🤣 But I love taking an idea, turning it in an unexpected way, and running with it. Holidays and tentacles pushes all those buttons!
So, I'm excited to announce my participation in the forthcoming multi-author winter holiday M/M tentacle romance collaboration, Tinsel and Tentacles! All books are standalones but may be connected to some authors’ pre-existing worlds. Each book in the series brings festive fun related to a variety of winter holidays and explores the many delightful ways tentacles can be naughty and nice! I'll let you guess which one my story will be.
Naturally, my book, Cthulhu for Christmas, is written in true Maslow fashion--uh, yeah, there's a murder, but also lots of funny holiday moments. Expect to find a candy making mage whose magic is a little unpredictable, his protective best friend who is secretly/not-so-secretly in love with him, a magical town that seems to have a mind of its own, a parade that goes very, very wrong, and some tentacle mayhem. Also, there seem to be randomly naked people wandering the town, because, yeah, it's me. Featuring a brand new world and new fantastic location: Old Bay City, Maryland.

GRL Throwback
And last, a couple of pictures from last year's GRL in case you're asking yourself whether it would be any fun. (Hint: it sooo is). The costume party theme last year was 80s prom . . . we just chose to interpret that as a steam punk 1880s version. The theme this year will be pirates, so I'll try to post pictures of that party in the next newsletter.
