Hi Dear Readers!

Happy New Year! 🎉🎉🎉

I always love the start of a new year, even though I know logically it’s not different from any other time of the year. I mean, why isn’t May a “new beginning?” Or August? And yet January equals a new beginning in my head. I think it’s partly due to the community aspect of it. We, collectively, go into the New Year with the hope for something better, or new, or in some cases just not quite so sucky.

On the writing front, I’m focusing on two primary projects this year: my next Starfig Investigations book (Bill finally gets his happily-ever-after) and a sooper sekret multi-author project that is going to be EPIC. I just squee when thinking about the list of names who will be in this one! I’m also intending to write a Charm City book, but I’m trying not to overcommit myself or overpromise. I’m test-running some new strategies for accountability with my writing, so together we’ll see how those play out.

I’ll have at least 3 audios out this year: As the Raven Flies, Cthulhu for Christmas, and I’ve booked a slot for the sooper sekret project. If Greg’s able, I’ll see if we can get this next Starfig book out, too. Again, I’m trying not to overpromise. . . but I really, really want to!

One quick personal note: I’m headed to my parents’ place again at the end of the month because my dad is having surgery. It’s a delicate procedure, and he’s eighty-six, so I’m worried and scared. My parents lives are changing whether I want them to or not, and mine is forced to change then, too. I’m trying to factor those changes into my schedule, but things can be unpredictable, so I just wanted to mention this little caveat. There’s a popular Yiddish saying that “Man plans, God laughs.” Boy, do I feel this. So, you’ve all seen my plans. Let’s hope there’s not too much laughing this year. Well, unless it’s at something in one of my books! 😜

Cthulhu for Christmas is now in paperback!

Cthulhu for Christmas is available now in paperback! Have you started the Tinsel and Tentacles series yet?

What readers are saying:

“It sucks you in and doesn’t let go.”

“It's a fun filled, crazy ride to a Christmas HEA.”

“There’s murder, mystery, romance, and, tentacles, very sexy tentacles!”

“There were some unexpected turns and twists, action, humor and romance that often seem to accompany Meghan Maslow books.”

Six accidental tentacles, five naked neighbors, four evil mages, three ugly sweaters, two dead bodies, and one crush on my straight best friend . . .

Some things are simple fact: Santa Claus isn't real and magic doesn’t exist. As a former foster kid turned cop, I know this for a fact. My life is anything but magical and Santa sure as hell never visited me as a kid.

Another fact in my life: I’ve been in love with Grey Criswel, my gorgeous—and straight—best friend, since we met. Unfortunately, he’s not going to make my secret Christmas wish come true this year—or ever.

But before I know it, fact and fantasy are starting to get all mixed up. I thought I knew Old Bay Isle and its residents like the back of my hand. Now I’m dealing with a bunch of naked carolers refusing to put on their damn clothes and mysterious happenings at the lighthouse. Oh, and murder. Because what says happy holidays like a corpse at a Christmas tree farm?

Worse yet, I’m suddenly afflicted with an aquatic ailment of sorts. Namely—tentacles. Six of them to be exact. Attached. To. My. Back. They even have their own opinions. And they all agree they want Grey. Could he maybe want them—and me—back? Things are so topsy-turvy I’m starting to believe the impossible just might be possible because it turns out magic is real after all . . .

Cthulhu for Christmas is a standalone novel in the Tinsel and Tentacles multi-author winter holiday MM tentacle romance series. It features Zen King—a cop with a tentacular dilemma, a best friend with a closet full (heh) of secrets, a sharp-tongued former foster mom, a beaver for a roommate, found family, and a guaranteed happily-ever-after.
