Hi Dear Readers!

I hope you're all still well and staying safe. We're at the part of the summer where I'm reminded that I basically live in a swamp. Talk about humid. And I've been trying to get out and run occasionally, but the weather isn't making it easy. I use the word "run" very loosely. It's more like a jog . . . on a good day. 🤣 I find that exercise is great for my creativity and I either write in my head as I run or I catch up on audiobooks I've wanted to listen to. So, all in all, I'm enjoying the summer and I hope you are, too.

The Demon's in the Details Ebook, Print, and Audio is LIVE!

I had a great time writing this book! It's a little grittier and a lot steamier than my other works, but it still has the plot twists, snark, and world building you expect from me. It's my first urban fantasy romance, though it won't be my last. I previously published The Demon's in the Details in the Fables Retold anthology. I've re-released it, and added audio for your listening pleasure. And for once the ebook, print, and audiobook are all out at the same time! It's even whisper-synced. This. Never. Happens. 🥳 Oh, and did I mention that the fabulous Greg Tremblay/Boudreaux narrated the audiobook? He did an amazing job. Yes, I'm biased, but it really is just that good! He nailed Poe and Tommy's voices and brought my version of Baltimore to life. Also, a big round of applause to Alexandria Corza for the new cover. She captured Poe's attitude perfectly.

Can a sexy demon really spin straw into gold?

Poe Dupin, raven shifter and thief extraordinaire, is in trouble with a capital ‘T.’ Not only did he get his wing caught in the cookie jar during his latest heist, but his loser stepdad, the alpha, seems determined to run their roost into the ground. And Baltimore is many things, but forgiving is not on the list.

When his stepdad puts the roost in peril, Poe sees no choice but to bargain with Charm City’s only demon, Tommy Tittoti. Rumors are that Tommy eats the souls of those foolish enough to try. Three strikes and you’re out. But really, Poe wasn’t using his soul anyway. And if it saves his roost? Worth it.

Tommy isn’t what Poe expects. Demon—huge, horned, hairy, and scary, right? Nope. Blond, gorgeous, with a bubble butt, and a lilting drawl that beckons Poe to come play. Total hookup-app fantasy material. Even if he is a murder twink.

Poe’s no angel, but Tommy . . . well he’s more devil than demon. Yet, Poe just can’t seem to keep his feathers out of the fire. As one bargain turns into two, and then a third tragedy strikes the ravens, Poe finds himself falling for a guy who may very literally be the death of him. Or maybe the flames will burn them both.

The Demon’s in the Details is a fast-paced, roller coaster of a romance with a guaranteed HEA and lots of steam. Shenanigans include: a gold object that is definitely not a ring, a best friend who’s trigger-happy, and a demon who’s got a few surprises up his, uh, sleeve.

**Previously published in the Fables Retold Anthology. ~60,000 words. No new content has been added.

Ch-Ch-Changes!

In the previous newsletter I asked how often you'd like to receive my newsletters. In the past, I've sent them along with each new publication only. I have this fear of bugging my readers. But that can mean several months with no contact. After looking at the survey results, I noticed a resounding cry for a monthly newsletter.

Game on.

This new format gives me the chance to stop in and tell you what I'm working on, gab a little, and bring in some fun new features. One of those features will be a character interview. Have a question you'd like to ask one of my characters? Twig, Quinn, Nico, Flame, Auric, Bill, Tommy, Poe, Kennedy, and many more will take their turns in the hot seat. I don't want to say too much yet, but there's a rumor the interviewer can be a little . . . pushy. So, questions you'd like the interviewer to ask? Chime in and let's have some fun! You may ask as many or as few questions as you'd like. I can't guarantee all questions will make it into an interview, but I'll do my best.

More Starfig Investigations Coming Your Way!

I'm happy to say that Fairy & Impartial is in final edits. I'm intending to have it out by the end of September. I don't have an exact release date yet, but I'll update you in my next newsletter with all the details and a cover reveal. I've held on to the cover for months now, and I'm sooo ready to share it with you all. I haven't written the official blurb yet, but here's the gist:

All Twig wants is to settle into mated life with his wizard. No drama. No heartache. A HEA fit for a dragon.

Hahahaha. Yeah, no. That's not this story. Instead, Twig and Quinn are roped into a new case involving missing orc stones (yes, those really are a thing), as well as a murder investigation with a certain red fury as the main suspect. Twig's old enemies are dropping like fairy flies, and his dad is on the PR warpath. Tuuk Chingle is still using Quinn as his muse for his Rei-gency Romances--Twig is SO not amused--and Quinn's little brother can't seem to stop hitting on their housemate.

What else could go wrong?

Buckle up, you're about to find out.

GRL or Bust!

Although so much is still uncertain, I'm signed up as a featured author at GRL. If any of you are intending to go, I'll have some paperbacks for sale or you can preorder a copy of your favorite to make sure I won't run out. I'll also have a couple author lounges if you want to hang out, and I'll be on a panel with Sam Burns, Rowan McAllister, and Ari Mckay. The panel's tentatively titled: "Bad to the Bone: Dicks, Pricks, Hellspawn, and Why We Love Them." Guess who came up with the subtitle? Sorry. (Not sorry). 😜
