Hi Dear Readers!

I hope you're all well and staying safe. March has flown by and I'm enjoying the first signs of spring. Here in the DC Metro area, the cherry trees are starting to bloom, which really is a sight to see. It's been another busy month (aren't they all?), but it's been a productive one. I'm now firmly entrenched in all things Baltimore and will be taking a trip in the upcoming weeks to spend a little time walking around and making notes. I'm always looking for quirky and memorable aspects of Baltimore. Believe me, there are a lot of them. It's such a cool city.

This month's newsletter has preorders, a word from Bill, and another edition of If Fantasy Creatures Could Text. Bill is still determined to find Quinn the perfect moniker!

Prepare to Preorder!

This month I have two preorders up: One set in Verona (A Demon's Dilemma, Az's story) and one set in Baltimore (Cat's Chance in Hell, Carter's story). Once I have blurbs, I'll share them with you all.

At the moment, I'm writing on the Charm City series, but I follow my muse and she's been known to change tracks in the middle of a book. So, we'll see which one I actually publish first. I don't want to say too much about Charm City yet, but I will say that Carter's story has surprised me a bit. In a positive way. Carter has turned out to have some depths I hadn't suspected. And Bengal is just pure fun. (The audio for these two is going to be AMAZING).

Az's story is one of redemption and homecoming. He's got some growing to do, but I really love a good redemption arc. And let's face it, antagonists need love, too.

A Quick Word with...Bill!

Hello! I'm William Jasper Reginald Butler the third, but you lovely people may call me Bill

I’m here to welcome you to Team BroomspARCkles, an ARC review team for some author-ish person named Meghan Maslow. She wanted to call it Maslow’s ARC Team, but that’s obviously a terrible moniker for an ARC group, so luckily she brought me in to help. Ah, now you’re probably wondering how you go about joining Team BroomspARCkles, as anyone who understands there are rules and expectations would. I personally don’t spend much time with chaps who follow rules, so I’m happy to meet you all.

Right, on to the rules and expectations if you choose to apply:

1. You must be able to review on at least 2 sites: Amazon, Goodreads, BookBub, Instagram, etc. No, shouting about the book like a town crier doesn’t count, although it is appreciated. Note: Amazon is preferred but not required.

2. Please leave an honest review for arc(s) you choose. We’re all tough characters—we can take it. Well, except for my Quinnie. He’s soft-hearted. But we just won’t show him the harsh ones.

3. Be ready to report your reviews on a Google form. This is NOT for the author to read your reviews; reviews are for readers. This is so her long-suffering—I know how she feels—PA, NOLAKim PA, is able to keep track of the reviews as they are completed. Organization is a beautiful thing, as I keep telling a certain stubborn half-dragon, half-fairy.

4. Please know that if you don’t have an opportunity to join this first round, the author will open up spots in the future! These author types are always looking for readers willing to engage with their books.

Thank you for your interest in joining Team BroomspARCkles! Please fill out the form below.

-Bill, everyone’s favorite resident red fury

PS – since the author refuses to pay me for my hard work and the amazing team moniker, you may—if you choose—send fudge to:

Bill the Red Fury

C/O CCM Twig Starfig

Lighthelm

The Elder Realm

If Fantasy Creatures Could Text . . .

Poor Bill continues his quest to give Quinn his wizard moniker. Quinn, as you all know, is not the most receptive to Bill's attempts. Will he ever succeed? Hmmm. . . Maybe if there's just the right one.

Gay Rom Lit (GRL), Virginia 2022

Just a reminder that I'll be a spotlight author at GRL this year. I adore this conference. It's a great way to meet readers, authors, and old and new friends. If any of you are interested in checking it out, I'd love to see/meet you there!
