Greetings !

I'm going to make some slight (very slight) changes. I'm going to start sending out the Write with Me zoom invites with these emails as opposed to separate emails, so that I'm not clogging up the inboxes of those who want to attend those sessions too much.

I'm also doing this so that if I design an automation I want to share with all of you, that you're not sometimes getting three emails from me each week. And, if you also subscribe to my Substack, you're already receiving two to three emails from that.

Sometimes, things build out over time and then you realize... I might be overwhelming people. The bonus of this is that everyone on my list will receive the invite information for my Write with Me sessions, so that if they want to attend, they can!

For Writers

Remember I mentioned last week that I'm cooking up something special? It's a workshop that will start running in early 2026. The goal of the workshop will be to learn to build craft from confidence and confidence from craft. There will also be an asynchronous community component. The workshop will run for 6 weeks and include weekly live calls with me, plus feedback from me throughout.

I'll be sharing more information with you as we get closer to launch, but I'm really excited about this one. I'm planning to charge $499 to start for it, but I'll also offer an early-bird discount of 10%. (For your planning purposes.) More to come on that!

Here's a writing prompt for you this week: Write a scene or short story from a non-human POV (or if your story doesn't have humans, pick a being that would be quite different from your planned narrator).

It's happening! The Monthly Tale is officially happening!

I'm starting, as I said, with Liberty of the Realm. I hope you'll join me. The first serial installment went live this week over at The Monthly Tale on my Substack. Everyone gets the first installment for free. Paid subscribers will get the whole story, and founding subscribers will get to help shape the story.

Also, I'm still working on A Winter's Trust, which is my second book in my Greenmeadow Seasons series. No publication date set yet, but it will be sometime this autumn, as promised! (Also, I'm so glad it's autumn now. Autumn and winter are my favorite seasons.)

And, I just got a new chair (for free!) that's super comfy and great for reading and writing. You can bet I've already spent an afternoon or two cozied up there doing just that.
